BASE DESCRIPTION

Hey guys, this is Dark Barbarian, and today we’re building a brand-new Town Hall 10 Hybrid Base.
This base is designed for players who want to protect their resources without sacrificing trophies. It combines strong loot protection with solid defensive coverage, making it a great choice for everyday farming and trophy pushing.
As always, I’ll be explaining every important aspect of the layout in the base analysis section so you can understand how the base works and decide whether it’s worth using in your village.
I’ll see you guys after the speed build.
Let’s begin with the Town Hall.

As you can see, the Town Hall is positioned deep inside the base in the core. Since hybrid bases are meant to protect both loot and trophies, keeping the Town Hall in a well-protected location is extremely important. Attackers will have to break through multiple layers of defenses and walls before reaching it.
One of the strongest aspects of this base is its compartment design.

The layout is divided into many smaller sections rather than a few large compartments. This slows down enemy troops significantly because units like giants, golems, and heroes spend more time breaking walls and moving between compartments. While they are doing that, the defenses continue dealing damage, which often weakens the attack before it reaches the center.
Now let’s move on to the defenses.
The defenses are spread evenly throughout the base, creating balanced coverage from every direction.
Starting with the Inferno Towers.

Inferno Towers are among the most valuable defenses available at Town Hall 10, so keeping them protected is a top priority. Both Infernos are positioned close to the core but apart from each other, so they are difficult to reach and can support nearby key defenses.
From these locations, they help defend the Town Hall, Clan Castle, X-Bows, storages, and several surrounding defenses. Their positioning allows them to stay active for a long time during most attacks.
For mode selection, multi-target works best against armies with lots of low-health troops like miners, witches, and bowlers, while single-target mode is much more effective against high-hitpoint units like golems, P.E.K.K.As, and electro dragons.
Next, let’s talk about the X-Bows.

The X-Bows are positioned near the center of the base, allowing them to cover a huge portion of the layout. Since Town Hall 10 regularly faces both air and ground attacks, setting them to target both is usually the safest choice.
This allows them to contribute against almost every army composition you encounter.
Moving on to the Air Defenses.

The Air Defenses are separated into different compartments rather than being grouped together. This reduces the value attackers get from lightning spells and prevents multiple Air Defenses from being disabled at the same time.
Their coverage overlaps across most of the base, and they’re supported by the Air Sweepers, making air attacks much more difficult to execute. LavaLoon, Mass Dragons, Baby Dragons, and Minion-based attacks all have to deal with multiple layers of air defense coverage.
Wizard Towers are spread around the layout and positioned near valuable defenses and storages.

Their splash damage helps deal with large groups of troops, making them especially useful against balloons, bowlers, miners, and witches. Since they’re located in separate compartments, attackers cannot eliminate all of them easily.
Mortars are positioned toward the outer sections of the base.

Their primary role is to defend against farming armies such as BARCH, GiBARCH, and mass goblins. And at the same time, their range still reaches important sections of the base, allowing them to contribute throughout the attack.
Archer Towers and Cannons are distributed evenly around the layout.
This balanced placement ensures that no side of the base is left exposed and helps maintain strong coverage against both air and ground troops.

When it comes to storages placement, I’ve intentionally spread them out across different compartments. This way, the attacker can’t get all your loot by breaking into a single section. They’ll have to fight through multiple layers and compartments, which greatly reduces how much loot they can steal.
Also, don’t place both of the same type of storage on the same side — for example, putting both Gold Storages on one side would allow the attacker to steal nearly all your gold just by targeting that section. As a result, in order to avoid this. We alternate their placement, much like this base.
Moving on to the traps.

After studying troop pathing, the traps have been placed where attackers are most likely to send their troops.
Spring Traps are positioned along common giant and hog rider routes, allowing them to remove valuable housing space instantly. Which helps in making this base stronger against ground attacks.
We’ve placed bombs and giant bombs outside the walls to take down the wall breakers. By doing this, we’re hoping to break the attackers’ funnel and prevent their troops from entering the base. Instead, they’ll likely head for the outside trash buildings, which will ultimately cause the attack to fail.
Air Bombs and Seeking Air Mines are spread throughout the layout to support the Air Defenses. These traps are especially effective against balloons, minions, and lava hounds.
Finally, let’s look at the outer buildings.

The collectors and resource buildings are spread around the base instead of being grouped together. This forces attackers to spend additional time creating funnels and clearing outside structures.
Many players overlook outer building placement, but it plays a huge role in disrupting troop pathing and making attacks less efficient.
That’s it for the base analysis.
I’ve left a copy link for this base below, or you can copy this base through any of those links, unless you want to copy it manually, that’s pretty much it for the base analysis, I’ll see you guys in the next one.
BEST DEFENSIVE CLAN CASTLE TROOPS COMBINATIONS
Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 10 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 10 you can get Maximum of 35 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for defense at Town Hall 10 :-
- 1 Electro Dragon + 1 Balloon (Recommended)
- 1 Baby Dragon + 2 Valkyrie + 2 Wizard
- 1 Golem + 1 Wizard + 1 Archer
- 1 Witch + 5 Wizards + 3 Archers
- 1 Lava Hound + 1 Balloon
- 1 Dragon + 3 Wizard + 1 Archer
Since most people can’t get these troops from their clans, you can also use other troop combinations which are easily available like all wizards, all balloons or any other troop combination but i highly recommend you to have above mentioned troops for best defensive experience at Town Hall 10.
