BASE DESCRIPTION

Hey guys, Dark Barbarian here!

we’re building a brand-new Town Hall 4 hybrid base, and I’m sure you guys are going to love this one.

The main goal of this base is to protect both your loot and your trophies, while also making it difficult for common attacks like Giants, BARCH, Goblins, and Balloons to get through the base.

I’ve also made sure to use the limited number of walls we have at Town Hall 4 as efficiently as possible, so every compartment and every building has a purpose.

So let’s get started, let’s do the Base Analysis!

First and foremost, the Town Hall is placed right in the center of the base, surrounded by multiple compartments.

This is one of the basic principles I like to follow when making a hybrid base because the Town Hall is worth a star and also contains loot.

By keeping it in the core, attackers can’t simply deploy a few troops on the outside and grab an easy star.

They’ll have to push through multiple layers of defenses and walls before they can reach it.

And that’s exactly what we want.

One of the biggest strengths of this base is the number of compartments we’ve created.

Instead of putting everything inside one large box, we’ve divided the base into several smaller sections.

This makes the base much more annoying for Giants because they can’t simply walk straight toward the core.

They’ll have to break through one wall section, reach a defense, and then break through another section to continue moving deeper into the base.

While they’re doing that, our defenses have plenty of time to keep dealing damage.

It also makes troop pathing less predictable, which can cause attacking troops to move around instead of taking the shortest route toward the Town Hall.

Now coming to the Mortar, we’ve placed it close to the core where it can cover a large portion of the base.

At Town Hall 4, the Mortar is especially useful against groups of low-hitpoint troops like Barbarians, Archers, and Goblins because of its splash damage.

The Air Defense is placed inside a secure compartment near the town hall, ensuring it’s well-protected from early attacks. Its range covers a large portion of the base, and the Archer Towers provide additional air-targeting support.

So if someone decides to attack with Balloons, they can’t simply remove one defense and fly straight through the base.

The Archer Towers are positioned toward the upper and lower sections of the base, giving us coverage from different directions.

This is useful because they can target both ground and air troops.

So even if the attacker chooses a different side of the base, they’re still going to have Archer Tower fire coming from multiple angles.

And this is especially important at TH4 because Balloons become available at this level, while the Air Defense is also introduced as a key part of the defense.

The Cannons are placed in a balanced way around the core compartments. Their job is simple: provide consistent single-target damage against ground troops like Giants and Barbarians. Because they’re spread out, attackers cannot take them down all at once.

Now let’s talk about the storages, because this is another important part of the design.

You can see that some of the Gold and Elixir Storages are positioned around the outside of the main core.

And you might be wondering:

“Why would you put the storages outside if this is supposed to be a hybrid base?”

Well, at Town Hall 4, we simply don’t have enough walls to put every single building inside.

So instead of wasting our limited walls trying to protect every storage, we’re using the storages in a different way.

I’ve placed other buildings directly in front of some of the storages.

This means an attacker can’t immediately reach the storage.

They first have to clear the building in front of it.

And while their troops are busy doing that, our defenses are firing at them from inside the base.

So even though the storage itself is outside the main wall, it isn’t completely exposed.

We’re basically using those outside buildings as a buffer between the attacker and our loot.

And I’ve also spread the storages around different sections instead of putting everything together.

That way, an attacker can’t take a huge amount of loot simply by attacking one side of the base.

Now let’s take a look at the traps. We don’t have many traps at Town Hall 4, but we’re making the best of what we do have.

First, we have the Spring Traps placed along the paths where Giants are likely to travel.

Giants normally move toward defensive buildings, so placing Spring Traps between defenses gives us a good chance of catching them as they move deeper into the base.

And if we can remove even a couple of Giants early, it can make the rest of the attack much harder.

We also have Bombs positioned near important wall sections to deal with Wall Breakers.

Wall Breakers are one of the biggest threats to a compartment-based base because one successful opening can give Giants access to multiple defenses.

So we’re trying to make those Wall Breakers pay for entering the wrong area.

Now coming to the outer buildings. As always in my hybrid designs, the outside buildings are not randomly placed. They are carefully positioned around the base to act as a time-wasting layer. This layer often ruins their funneling and causes their troops to spread around the base instead of moving toward the center.

that’s it for the base analysis

I hope you learned something valuable, and before you go to the base copy link, I’d really like it if you could subscribe so that I could help you with your town hall 5 base as well. That’s all I had to say, see you guys in the next one.

BEST DEFENSIVE CLAN CASTLE TROOPS COMBINATIONS

Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 4 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 4 you can get Maximum of 15 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for defense at Town Hall 4 :-

  1. 1 Valkyrie + 1 Wizard + 3 Archers (Recommended)
  2. 1 Baby Dragon + 1 Wizards + 1 Archers
  3. 1 Witch + 3 Archers

Since most people can’t get these troops from their clans, you can also use other troop combinations which are easily available like all wizards, all balloons or any other troop combination but i highly recommend you to have above-mentioned troops for best defensive experience at Town Hall 4.

FEATURES OF THIS BASE

  1. Anti Air attacks base
  2. Mortar & Air Defense are well protected in the centre.
  3. Storages outside walls are still well-defended
  4. Cannons evenly placed provide a balance to the base
  5. Great against ground and air attacks
  6. Optimal for Farming and Trophy Pushing
  7. Archer Towers cover the whole base
