BASE DESCRIPTION

Hey everyone, Dark BarBarian here! Today, we’re building a brand-new Town Hall 4 hybrid base, and trust me, you’re gonna love it. This base is seriously solid for a bunch of reasons—I’ll break it all down later in this post. I’ll also explain why putting some storages outside to protect your defenses isn’t a bad move. Make sure you stick around for the base analysis, where I’ll go over every detail so you understand exactly why each building is placed where it is.

Let’s do the Base Analysis!

First and foremost, the Town Hall is safely secured at the center of the base, ensuring we keep that one-star victory and protect the resources stored inside.

Our two most important defenses, the Mortar and Air Defense, are strategically placed near clan castle and town hall, making them as hard to reach as possible. Positioning them in the middle also means they cover the heart of the base. The Mortar helps defend against spam attacks like BARCH, G Barch, and Mass Goblins. While the Air Defense protects against air raids, such as Mass Balloons.

The Archer Towers are placed in these two corners to provide nearly complete coverage of the base, Their positioning, combined with the Air Defense, makes this base strong against air attacks.

The Cannons are spread out to cover almost the entire base, creating a solid balance against ground assaults like Giants. This ensures defenses are well-distributed, so no side is left weak against any type of attack.

First, let’s talk about why the storages are placed outside. At Town Hall 4, you don’t have enough walls to protect all your storages and defenses, except for a few possible designs that aren’t necessarily good either. That means you have to choose: Do you put your defenses outside or your storages outside?

If you put the storages inside and leave defenses outside, once those outer defenses are taken out, your storages are left completely unprotected, they can’t fight back. That’s why it makes way more sense to keep your defenses inside and use your storages as tanks. Storages have high hitpoints, so they can soak up damage while your defenses pick off the attacking troops. In other words: Defenses protect storages by killing enemy troops and Storages protect defenses by buying them time.

But don’t worry—we’re not just handing our storages over to the enemy. We’ve added extra layers of protection, like placing low-value buildings like Builder Huts, collectors, and Barracks near the storages, These act as distractions, forcing attackers to waste time clearing useless structures while our defenses keep firing. We’ve done this on both sides of the base, so enemies have to chew through these trash buildings before even reaching the storages.

I hope it’s clear that putting those storages outside doesn’t make this base a bad one.

let’s take a look at the placement of the traps,

We don’t have many traps at Town Hall 4, but we’re making the best of what we do have. I’ve set them after analyzing so many attacks and troop pathing like giants, those two spring traps are placed where troops such as giants are most likely to trigger them, We’ve put those bombs so that they can take out the wall breakers, which can potentially ruining the attackers’ funnel since troops won’t be able to enter the base, and these bombs also prevent the barch army from stealing the gold and elixir from the storages.

coming to the outer buildings, I’ve placed them alternatively, like I’ve avoided placing the same kind of collectors close to one another, I see most people not putting enough thought while placing those outer buildings so they end up placing the same kind of collectors all together, these collectors become an easy target to attackers when placed together, hence it is important to spread them out to make it harder for opponents to take them out.

that’s it for the base analysis

I hope you learned something valuable, and before you go to the base copy link, I’d really like it if you could subscribe so that I could help you with your town hall 5 base as well. That’s all I had to say, see you guys in the next one.

BEST DEFENSIVE CLAN CASTLE TROOPS COMBINATIONS

Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 4 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 4 you can get Maximum of 15 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for defense at Town Hall 4 :-

  1. 1 Valkyrie + 1 Wizard + 3 Archers (Recommended)
  2. 1 Baby Dragon + 1 Wizards + 1 Archers
  3. 1 Witch + 3 Archers

Since most people can’t get these troops from their clans, you can also use other troop combinations which are easily available like all wizards, all balloons or any other troop combination but i highly recommend you to have above-mentioned troops for best defensive experience at Town Hall 4.

FEATURES OF THIS BASE

  1. Anti Air attacks base
  2. Mortar & Air Defense are well protected in the centre.
  3. Storages outside walls are still well-defended
  4. Cannons evenly placed provide a balance to the base
  5. Great against ground and air attacks
  6. Optimal for Farming and Trophy Pushing
  7. Archer Towers cover the whole base
