BASE DESCRIPTION

Hey everyone, welcome back. In today’s post, I’m sharing a carefully crafted Town Hall 9 hybrid base that strikes a solid balance between defense and resource protection. Whether you’re facing war attacks or farming threats, this base is designed to handle it all efficiently. Let’s take a closer look at how it works and why it’s built the way it is. Make sure to stick around for the base analysis to understand your defenses,

Now, let’s dive into the Base Analysis!

As you can see, the Town Hall is safely tucked away in the center of the base—just like in most of my hybrid base layouts. This spot is essential because the Town Hall not only holds a star but also a good chunk of your loot. That’s why keeping it in the core ensures it’s protected against early snipes or quick grabs.

One of the key strengths of this layout is the number of compartments. These sections are spread all over the base to slow down attacking troops. Units like golems and giants tend to get stuck moving between these layers, giving our defenses enough time to pick them off before they do real damage.

Defensive buildings have been positioned evenly throughout the base to make sure no side is left exposed.

The mortars are placed toward the outer compartments to help counter mass spam attacks like BARCH, GiBARCH, and massgoblin raids. They cover nearly all angles of the base, except for the very core—which isn’t needed since spam troops rarely reach that deep.

Wizard towers are spaced out in different compartments to avoid getting wiped out together by lightning spells. Their splash damage covers large areas, and they’re positioned to protect high-value defenses in their range.

Moving on to air defenses—they’re separated into different compartments to avoid being taken down by a single spell combo. Their positioning is designed to cover a large portion of the base, ensuring that air troops are always within range no matter where they attack from. We’ve also paired them with air sweepers to push back flying troops. This setup creates a solid defense against popular aerial strategies like lava loons and mass dragons.

Archer towers are placed at evenly spaced intervals across the base. Their long range gives us constant air coverage from all directions, making sure no side becomes a weak point for aerial assaults.

X-Bows are locked in central compartments and set to both ground and air mode. Their massive coverage ensures that no matter where troops enter from, they’re always under fire. With their range overlapping across key zones, they form a strong backbone for this layout’s defense.

Cannons are set in places where they help balance ground defense and eliminate tanky units like giants and hogs. Their placement also complements other point defenses, making ground attacks more difficult.

The bomb tower has been placed to serve as a trap for hog riders, miners, and giants. It’s positioned to take on troops coming in from the 2 o’clock side, a common entry point for hog attacks. When it goes down, its death damage deals a solid blow to clustered troops, softening them up for follow-up defenses.

Storages are placed in separate compartments to prevent an attacker from easily getting all your resources. Instead of stacking them together like in many bases, each storage is split up so that attackers have to work through the entire base to grab all your loot. We’ve also alternated the resource types—so even if they clear one section, they won’t walk away with all your gold or elixir. so to avoid that, we place them alternatively, just like our base.

Now, for trap placement—we’ve studied the common troop paths and placed spring traps where giants and hogs are most likely to pass. This increases their effectiveness in taking out key units mid-attack.

Bombs and giant bombs are placed outside the walls to stop wall breakers and mess with funneling. When those wall breakers go down, the attacker’s troops often wander toward outer trash buildings instead of heading into the base, making their push fall apart.

Air bombs and seeking air mines are set near air defenses to deal with balloons, baby dragons, dragons, and lava hounds. These traps work together with the air defenses to handle strong air-based offenses.

When it comes to outer buildings, you have some flexibility. If you’re active and log in often, feel free to spread them out to make funneling tougher for attackers. Since you’ll be collecting from your collectors regularly, you don’t have to worry about them being sniped. But if you’re a more casual player, you might prefer keeping them a little closer to your defenses like we’ve done here. That way, if someone tries to go for your outer loot, they’ll be in range of defenses. Just make sure not to bunch the same type of collectors together—otherwise, you’re risking all your gold or elixir being taken from one side of the base.

That wraps up the base analysis.

Now, I’ve left a copy link for this base below so that you guys can copy it easily.

BEST DEFENSIVE CLAN CASTLE TROOPS COMBINATIONS

Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 9 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 9 you can get Maximum of 30 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for defense at Town Hall 9 :-

  1. 1 Electro Dragon (Recommended)
  2. 1 Baby Dragon + 2 Valkyrie + 1 Wizard
  3. 1 Golem
  4. 1 Witch + 4 Wizards + 2 Archers
  5. 1 Lava Hound
  6. 1 Dragon + 2 Wizard + 2 Archer

Since most people can’t get these troops from their clans, you can also use other troop combinations which are easily available like all wizards, all balloons or any other troop combination but i highly recommend you to have above mentioned troops for best defensive experience at Town Hall 9.
