BASE DESCRIPTION

Hey everyone, it’s Dark Barbarian, and today we’re building a new Town Hall 6 hybrid base. This layout is designed to protect both your loot and trophies, making it perfect for players who want strong defenses while still climbing the leagues.

I’ll break down every placement step-by-step in the Base Analysis part of the video so you understand exactly why this base works so well.

I’ll be staying quiet for now so that the folks who wants to copy the base from the video can follow along, but I’ll be seeing you guys again in the base analysis part of the video where we will be doing an in-depth breakdown of the base.

Alright guys, let’s get into the Base Analysis

As usual, the Town Hall is placed right in the center compartment of the base.

This protects that important one star and the loot inside it. A centered Town Hall also forces attackers to work their way inward, making 3-stars much harder.

The most important defenses at Town Hall 6 are the Air Defenses, Mortars, and Wizard Towers. These three defensive structures are crucial because they protect the base from both air and ground attacks.

Our two key defenses—the Wizard Tower and the Air Defense—are placed securely in the core of the base. Keeping them in the center ensures they protect the entire base from incoming troops. The Air Sweeper also works perfectly with the Air Defenses, adding even more protection against air strategies like mass Balloon attacks.

The Wizard Towers are positioned in a way that allows them to protect the core defenses and the Town Hall, while their splash damage range also covers most of the outer defenses and storages, maximizing their effectiveness.

The Mortars are placed toward the outer areas of the base, where they can counter common attack strategies like BARCH, Gi-BARCH, and mass Goblins before those troops reach the more valuable defenses. They cover a large portion of the base, and their splash damage is great for wiping out multiple low-health troops at once—especially when they’re packed together.

The Archer Towers are placed in a triangular formation, giving solid air and ground coverage across the entire base.

Combined with the Air Defense, the base becomes very resistant to air attacks.

The Cannons are placed where they help balance out the base’s ground defense, giving good coverage in areas where Archer Towers might be weaker for ground defense.

Now, coming to the storages, they are placed in different compartments, unlike the bases you usually see where most of the storages are placed in a single compartment. each storage is placed in a different compartment that means the opponent has to take out the whole base in order to get all the loot.

Also, we have placed our storages in outer compartments so that we can use them as a tank for the defenses that are inside. Because those storages have high hitpoints, they can be used as a guard for our defenses. In this case, defenses protect the storages by killing the troops that attack the storages, while storages protect the defenses by providing them with time.

We’ve also placed the storages alternatively, so that even if the opponent takes out this portion of the base, we don’t lose all the storages of the same kind of resources, for example, if we put all the gold storages on this side of the base, the attacker can take almost all your gold just by taking out this portion of the base. and if we are losing the loot, it’s better to lose it in a balanced way rather than losing all the loot of one kind of resource, so to avoid that, we place them alternatively, just like our base.

Now coming to the placement of the traps, after observation of so many attacks on this base, spring traps and giant bombs are strategically placed on different places according to the pathing of defense attacking troops like hogs and giants, which helps in making this base stronger against ground attacks.

we have placed those bombs out there so that they can take out the wall breakers, which can potentially ruin attackers funnel as the troops wouldn’t be able to go inside the base and they’ll end up going for the outer trash buildings which will end up ruining the attack.

These air bombs are put in these two places to support our air attacks defending buildings such as air defences, archer towers, and wizard towers.

Coming to the outer buildings, I’ve placed them in an alternating pattern. I’ve made sure not to group the same type of collectors too close to each other. I notice a lot of players don’t put much thought into their outer building placement and end up grouping similar collectors together, which makes them easy targets for attackers. Spreading them out forces opponents to work harder to take them down.

That’s going to wrap up the Base Analysis.

To be completely honest, this base will hold up really well on its own if the attacker isn’t using Clan Castle troops. But if they bring strong troops in their Clan Castle and you don’t have anything in yours for defense, you’re going to get wrecked almost every time. That’s why I always recommend lower Town Hall players to keep something defensive in their Clan Castle.

BEST DEFENSIVE CLAN CASTLE TROOPS COMBINATIONS

Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 6 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 6 you can get Maximum of 20 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for the defense at Town Hall 6 :-

  1. 1 Witch + 2 Wizards (Recommended)
  2. 1 Baby Dragon + 2 Wizards + 2 Archers 
  3. 2 Valkyries + 1 Wizard 
  4. 1 Dragon
