BASE DESCRIPTION

Hey everyone, it’s Dark Barbarian, and today we’re building a brand-new hybrid base for Town Hall 6. This layout is designed to protect your resources while also helping you maintain your trophies. In this post, I’ll walk you through every placement detail step by step in the base analysis section.
Let’s do the Base Analysis!

first of all, the obvious stuff, The Town Hall is secured right at the center of the base, ensuring maximum protection for that vital one star and the valuable loot inside. Centralizing it makes it significantly harder for opponents to break through and claim an easy victory.
When it comes to the defenses, All defensive buildings are positioned strategically to provide complete coverage and protect the base from every angle.

At Town Hall 6, the three most critical defenses are the Air Defenses, Mortars, and Wizard Towers. These are essential for countering both air and ground troops. We’ve placed these key defenses around the Town Hall to strengthen the core’s protection.

Our two most important defenses, Air Defenses and Mortars are placed side by side in the center, making them much harder to reach. This setup allows them to cover a large portion of the base — Mortars deal with spam ground troops like BARCH, G BARCH and Mass Goblins. While Air Defenses focus on Balloons and Healers before they become a problem.
The Air Sweeper works perfectly alongside the Air Defenses, pushing back air troops and forcing attackers to deploy from less favorable directions, making air assaults much harder to pull off.

The Wizard Towers are strategically spaced out to ensure they don’t get taken out at the same time. This placement keeps the base balanced and ensures they’re always protecting storages and nearby defenses with their splash damage — especially useful against groups of troops.

Archer Towers are placed in three key corners, giving full coverage of the entire base. Paired with the Air Defenses, they make this layout extremely resilient against air-based strategies.

Cannons are placed exactly where they’re most effective, helping balance the overall defense and providing strong support against ground-based troops.
Now, coming to the storages, they are placed in different compartments, unlike the bases you usually see where most of the storages are placed in a single compartment. each storage is placed in a different compartment that means the opponent has to take out the whole base in order to get all the loot.

Also, we have placed our storages in outer compartments so that we can use them as a tank for the defenses that are inside. Because those storages have high hitpoints, they can be used as a guard for our defenses. In this case, defenses protect the storages by killing the troops that attack the storages, while storages protect the defenses by providing them with time.
We’ve also placed the storages alternatively, so that even if the opponent takes out this portion of the base, we don’t lose all the storages of the same kind of resources, for example, if we put all the gold storages on this side of the base, the attacker can take almost all your gold just by taking out this portion of the base. and if we are losing the loot, it’s better to lose it in a balanced way rather than losing all the loot of one kind of resource, so to avoid that, we place them alternatively, just like our base.

Now coming to the placement of the traps, Traps are crucial in stopping enemy troops, and we’ve positioned them carefully after observing common attack patterns.
Spring Traps and Giant Bombs are placed along the paths that troops like Giants and Hog Riders usually take. This helps eliminate them before they can reach the core.
Bombs are placed near walls to counter Wall Breakers, disrupting the attacker’s funneling and keeping troops stuck outside, often forcing them to go after outer trash buildings instead.

When it comes to the outer buildings, I’ve placed them alternatively, avoiding placing the same type of collectors close to one another. I see most people not putting enough thought into those outer buildings, so they end up placing the same type of collectors altogether. These collectors become an easy target to attackers when placed together, so it’s important to spread them out to make it harder for opponents to take them out.
So that’s it for this TH6 Hybrid Base analysis.
I’ll be honest with you, this base will be more than enough on its own if the attackers attack you without clan castle troops, but if they have something in their clan castle, you’ll get Rekt every time unless you have something in your clan castle of defence as well. That is why, i usually advise lower town halls to have something in their cc for defence.

BEST DEFENSIVE CLAN CASTLE TROOPS COMBINATIONS
Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 6 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 6 you can get Maximum of 20 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for the defense at Town Hall 6 :-
- 1 Witch + 2 Wizards (Recommended)
- 1 Baby Dragon + 2 Wizards + 2 Archers
- 2 Valkyries + 1 Wizard
- 1 Dragon
