BASE DESCRIPTION

Hey guys I’m dark barbarian, welcome to another base building video, today are making a new Town hall 5 hybrid base, I’ve done one recently but I want you guys to have more options to choose from, so that you can easily switch to other if one doesn’t work for you, this base too is a hybrid base just like my other base layouts which means that you’ll be able to save your loot while maintaining trophies, to know more about how this base works, make sure you watch the base analysis part of the video where we do a complete breakdown of the base, so that instead of just copying blindly, you can understand how this base actually works. so I’ll see you guys after the base analysis.

let’s do the base analysis

The first thing you can notice is that the town hall is well protected in the center because it has some loot in it and it is worth one star, so it is one of the basic rules to keep in mind while making a hybrid base.

Mass Balloon attacks are quite common at Town Hall 5, that’s we’ve kept the air defense in a well-protected spot in the center of the base, it is placed in a such a that it provides cover to pretty much the whole base.

our other two most important defenses wizard tower and Mortar are placed in a well-protected spot, right in the core of the base so that they can stay protected while covering the most of the base.

so that’s the main feature of the base that it is to keep our three most important defenses protected in the center while the rest of the buildings acts as a cover for them.

Archer towers are arranged in such a way that their range covers the whole base, which means the base is well secured against air attacks from all sides.

Cannons are placed right where they are needed providing to the overall balance of the base and making this base perform pretty well against ground attacks.

Now coming to storages, they are evenly placed in different compartments, this is the mistake that most beginner base designers make that they place all the storages in the center, and defenses in the outer compartments. so once the attacker break through the compartment of defenses they get access to all the loot.
which is not the case in this base because the storages are placed in different compartments, the attacker has to take out the whole base to get all the loot.
never put the same type of storages on one side of the base, for example, if we put both the gold storages on this side of the base, the attacker can take almost all your gold just by taking out this portion of the base. so in order to avoid that. we place them alternatively, just like this base.

after observation of so many attacks on this base, spring traps, and giant bombs are strategically placed in these spots according to the pathing of defense attacking troops like hogs and giants, which helps in making this base stronger against ground attacks.

we have placed those bombs out there so that they can take out the wall breakers, which can potentially ruin attackers funnel as the troops wouldn’t be able to go inside the base and they’ll end up going for the outer trash buildings which will end up ruining the attack.

now coming to the outer buildings you can customize where you want to put them according to your choice. just make sure you don’t put the same type of collectors all together, otherwise, the opponent will take all your loot in the collectors very easily.

Even though the base itself is strong enough, having troops in your clan castle can help a lot, as clan castle troops will help you in wasting opponents troops and time, so having wizards or loons for normal defenses and valkyrie for war defense is recommended but if your clan can’t donate you those, anything will do the job. BEST DEFENSIVE CLAN CASTLE TROOPS COMBINATIONS 

Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 5 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 5 you can get Maximum of 15 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for defense at Town Hall 5 :-

1. 1 Valkyrie + 1 Wizard + 3 Archers (Recommended)
2. 1 Baby Dragon + 1 Wizards + 1 Archers
3. 1 Witch + 3 Archers
4. 3 Balloons

Since most people can’t get these troops from their clans, you can also use other troop combinations which are easily available like all wizards, all balloons or any other troop combination but i highly recommend you to have above-mentioned troops for best defensive experience at Town Hall 5.
