BASE DESCRIPTION

Let’s start with the main feature of this base which makes it so good, The clan castle is placed in the center of the base, which makes it really hard for the opponent to lure troops from your clan castle. The range of clan castle ends within the walls of the base which means the opponent has to break through at least one wall compartment to lure the clan castle troops, which honestly is quite hard for the opponent because people at lower town halls aren’t used to attacking bases in which clan castle is hard to lure.

I remember when I was a Town Hall 8 on my main account, I used to skip bases like this even if they had a lot of loot because luring clan castle troops, then killing them and then attacking the base is quite a pain in the neck especially when you’re using your farming troops.

These are the observations of how opponents reacted to the clan castle in the middle:-

1. Some opponents tried luring troops and they thought they’re in the range of clan castle and no troops came out, so they started doing their complete attack and guess what, once their troops got inside the base our clan castle troops wrecked their army.
2. Some opponents didn’t even try to lure clan castle troops. they just spammed their army, then our cc troops came into the action to wreck the opponent’s army.
3. In the third scenario, some opponents tried to lure cc troops but they ended up wasting a lot of troops and time.

Now you can understand how important it is to have defensive clan castle troops for this base because it gives you an edge over your opponents, so make sure you have something in your clan castle before you go offline, if your clan doesn’t donate you clan castle troops, then you should probably look for a new clan, and if you still can’t find a good donating clan, then you should replace the position of your clan castle with this dark elixir storage because there is no point in keeping the clan castle here if it doesn’t have troops that can defend.

The clan castle isn’t the only good thing about this base. let’s move forward, You can see how the town hall is well protected in the center most of the times when we’re making a base which has a clan castle in the center we have to compromise with the placement of Town Hall, it has to be placed in some outer compartment but this is not the case with this base as we managed to put both clan castle and the town hall in the core of the base.

Now coming to the defenses, it is quite hard to make a base that is balanced from all the sides at Town Hall 8 because the defense buildings are odd in number, so you have to really plan out where to place the buildings so that no side is left weak to certain types of attacks.
Mortars are placed in such a way that they pretty much cover the whole base.
Archer towers too are evenly placed throughout the base. wizard towers and bomb tower is placed nicely in the different compartments so that they don’t get taken out altogether. Air defenses are placed in the center with a well-paired air sweeper that makes this base pretty good against air attacks.
cannons are placed evenly to provide a good balance to the base, so overall you can say the defenses are evenly distributed.

Now, coming to the storages, they are placed in different compartments, unlike the bases you usually see where most of the storages are placed in a single compartment. each storage is placed in a different compartment that means the opponent has to take out the whole base in order to get all the loot.

Now, some of you might be concerned with the placement of the dark elixir storage that it’s not in the center. but don’t worry guys we have placed a lot of defensive buildings around it to give it extra protection, like giant bombs, barbarian king, bomb tower, Tesla, etc all these stuff are enough to protect the dark elixir storage but if you’re still concerned, you can do a simple change to your layout according to your situation, like if you have a lot of dark elixir stored up for a huge upgrade, in this situation you can keep your Dark elixir storage inside by replacing it with the clan castle to provide your Dark elixir storage more protection, but on any other normal scenario when you don’t have a lot of dark elixir stored up you should keep the base just the way it is.

let’s focus on the traps placements:-
✷ We have placed our Tesla in the separate compartments of their own which makes it effective against giants because they have to break through different compartments just to take out those Tesla which waste opponent’s a lot of time. they are also placed in such a way that they strengthen the core to help out the air defenses.
✷ After observation of so many attacks, the other traps like bombs and giant bombs are placed in such a way that some of them are always going to be triggered no matter where the attacker attacks from.
we have placed air bombs in the outer compartments and seeking air mines in the core to give air defenses protection against dragons and balloon attacks.
✷ Now, coming to the outer buildings you can customize their placements according to your choice or place them just like I did, but make sure you don’t put the same type of collectors altogether, otherwise, the opponent will take all your loot in the collectors easily.

BEST DEFENSIVE CLAN CASTLE TROOPS COMBINATIONS

Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 8 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 8 you can get Maximum of 25 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for defense at Town Hall 8 :-

1. 1 Witch + 3 Wizards + 1 Archers 
2. 1 Dragon + 1 Wizard + 1 Archer
3. 1 Baby Dragon + 1 Witch + 3 Archers
4. 1 Baby Dragon + 1 Valkyrie + 1 Wizard + 3 Archers
5. 3 Valkyrie + 1 Archer 

Since most people can’t get these troops from their clans, you can also use other troop combinations which are easily available like all wizards, all balloons or any other troop combination but i highly recommend you to have above mentioned troops for best defensive experience at Town Hall 7.
