BASE DESCRIPTION
Hey everyone, it’s Dark Barbarian, and today we’re creating a brand-new hybrid base for Town Hall 6. This base serves as a hybrid layout, allowing us to safeguard our resources while also keeping our trophy count intact. We’ll go over the placement details step by step in the base analysis segment of the post.
Let’s do the Base Analysis!
The Town Hall is safely positioned in the central compartment of the base. This placement ensures maximum protection for that crucial one star and the loot stored inside. A centralized Town Hall makes it much harder for attackers to break through.
When it comes to the defenses, they are positioned in such a way that they cover the whole base and keep it secure from all sides.
At Town Hall 6, the three most important defenses are Air Defenses, Mortars, and Wizard Towers. These structures are essential for keeping the base safe from both air and ground attacks.
These primary defenses are strategically positioned all around the town hall to increase the security of the base’s center.
Our two most important defenses, mortar and air defenses, are placed side by side in the center to make them more difficult to reach; additionally, placing them there means they cover a large portion of the base, so the base is mostly covered by mortar for spam attacks like BARCH and Mass Goblins, and the air defense covers a large portion of the base from air attacks like Mass Balloon and to take out healers as soon as possible.
The Air Defenses work in tandem with the Air Sweeper, providing additional protection against air attacks like mass balloon attacks by forcing attackers to approach from less favorable angles.
The Wizard Towers are strategically spaced out to ensure they don’t get taken out at the same time. This helps maintain the balance of the base. They’re positioned to protect both the storages and the defenses with their splash damage, making them effective against groups of enemy troops.
The Archer Towers are placed at three corners of the base, providing full coverage across the layout. Combined with the Air Defenses, this makes the base incredibly resistant to air attacks.
Cannons are strategically placed where they are needed, contributing to the overall balance of the base and allowing it to defend itself effectively against ground attacks.
Now, coming to the storages, they are placed in different compartments, unlike the bases you usually see where most of the storages are placed in a single compartment. each storage is placed in a different compartment that means the opponent has to take out the whole base in order to get all the loot.
Also, we have placed our storages in outer compartments so that we can use them as a tank for the defenses that are inside. Because those storages have high hitpoints, they can be used as a guard for our defenses. In this case, defenses protect the storages by killing the troops that attack the storages, while storages protect the defenses by providing them with time.
We’ve also placed the storages alternatively, so that even if the opponent takes out this portion of the base, we don’t lose all the storages of the same kind of resources, for example, if we put all the gold storages on this side of the base, the attacker can take almost all your gold just by taking out this portion of the base. and if we are losing the loot, it’s better to lose it in a balanced way rather than losing all the loot of one kind of resource, so to avoid that, we place them alternatively, just like our base.
Now coming to the placement of the traps, after observation of so many attacks on this base, spring traps and giant bombs are positioned along the paths commonly taken by defense-targeting troops like Giants and Hog Riders. They help eliminate these troops before they can reach the core.
Small Bombs are placed near walls to stop Wall Breakers from creating openings. This disrupts the attacker’s funnel and forces their troops to stay outside they’ll end up going for the outer trash buildings which will end up ruining their attack.
The Air Bombs are positioned behind the Air Sweeper to provide additional protection for the Air Defenses. Since most air attacks come from behind the sweeper, these traps catch attackers off-guard.
When it comes to the outer buildings, I’ve placed them alternatively, avoiding placing the same type of collectors close to one another. I see most people not putting enough thought into those outer buildings, so they end up placing the same type of collectors altogether. These collectors become an easy target to attackers when placed together, so it’s important to spread them out to make it harder for opponents to take them out.
To wrap it up, this base is more than capable of holding its own against attackers who don’t have Clan Castle troops. However, if the attacker brings reinforcements in their Clan Castle, it can be tough to defend unless you have strong defensive troops in your Clan Castle as well. That’s why I always recommend keeping your Clan Castle filled with defensive troops, especially at lower Town Hall levels.

BEST DEFENSIVE CLAN CASTLE TROOPS COMBINATIONS
Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 6 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 6 you can get Maximum of 20 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for the defense at Town Hall 6 :-
- 1 Witch + 2 Wizards (Recommended)
- 1 Baby Dragon + 2 Wizards + 2 Archers
- 2 Valkyries + 1 Wizard
- 1 Dragon
