Hey, Clashers! Welcome back to the DarkBarbarian’s page, I’m thrilled to have you here today as we dive into another base build for Town Hall 6, but this time its a little different, i usually only share hybrid and trophy bases with you guys, but today I’ve got a solid war/trophy base layout to share with you. the placement for storages and some other stuff will be different then what i usually do in my hybrid bases and as always i will be explaining the reasoning behind them in the base analysis part of the post,

Let’s do the Base Analysis!

First and foremost, the town hall is securely shielded in the middle compartment of the base as it is war base layout and we want to save that one star it contains.

Here’s a quick overview of what we aim to achieve with this Town Hall 6 war base. We want to prioritize defending against popular attack strategies at this level while also maintaining a balanced layout for overall protection. This design takes into consideration the common troop compositions used by attackers at Town Hall 6.
The key defenses to prioritize at Town Hall 6 include air defenses, mortars, and wizard towers. These defenses play a crucial role in safeguarding our base against both aerial and ground assaults.

Our top defenses, the wizard tower, and air defenses, are strategically positioned next to town hall’s compartment for maximum protection. This placement ensures they cover the entire base, providing effective defense against enemy troops. The air sweeper complements the air defenses, enhancing protection against air attacks such as mass balloon assaults.

Wizards are strategically placed to not only defend the main defenses and Town Hall in the central compartment but also to extend their range to cover most outer defenses and buildings. This positioning maximizes their splash damage abilities for comprehensive protection.

after these defenses our next important defenses are mortars, they covers the most of our base in their range, These are essential for dealing with groups of low-hitpoint troops swarm armies that attackers often deploy like BARCH, Mass goblins etc

The Archer Towers are strategically placed in these three corners to ensure comprehensive coverage of the entire base. When combined with the Air Defense, this setup greatly enhances the base’s resilience against airborne assaults.

Cannons are strategically placed where they are needed, contributing to the overall balance of the base and allowing it to defend itself effectively against ground attacks.

now lets talk about the storages, since this is a trophy war base, saving resources isn’t going to be your priority when using this base, so we can place them outside as they have high hit points, they can keep enemy troops busy and distracted while our defenses that are well protected inside can deal huge damage to opponents army.

Coming to clan castle, to be honest, it doesn’t really matter where you place it at lower town halls because we can’t add unlurable clan castle feature here because the bases at town hall 6 are simply too small, so opponents will be able to lure your cc troops regardless.

Now coming to the placement of the traps, after observation of so many attacks on this base, spring traps and giant bombs are strategically placed on different places according to the pathing of defense attacking troops like hogs and giants, which helps in making this base stronger against ground attacks.
we have placed those bombs out there so that they can take out the wall breakers that try to make way for the giants inside the base.
These air bombs are put in these two places to support our air attacks defending buildings such as air defences, archer towers, and wizard towers.

When it comes to the outside buildings, you may place them wherever you wish, Just make sure you don’t put high hit point buildings together, or else the opponent will ignore them and start their attack from deferent side, these high hit point buildings buy some time for defenses to give damage opponents troop. we have also placed these outer buildings at a distance from one another and few tiles away from the base, that is because, most players at lower town halls don’t know how to properly funnel their troops into the base, so placing these outer buildings in such way increases the chances that their giants will go for the defenses in the center but their supporting troops such as wizards will keep running to the sides for the outer buildings, this will lead to disastrous attack for opponent, as their troops aren’t going for the main defenses rather running around the peripheral of the base.

the builder huts are kept in the corners of the base, this increases the chances of opponent running out of time before taking out all the buildings as troops at lower townhalls are usually slow, so even if the base gets almost completely destoryed most people won’t be able to 3 star as it takes alot of time for troops to run from one corner to other that it usually ends up in a time fail.

That’s it for the Base Analysis

I’ll be honest with you, this base will be more than enough on its own if the attackers attack you without clan castle troops, but if they have something in their clan castle, you’ll get Rekt every time unless you have something in your clan castle of defence as well. That is why, i usually advise lower town halls to have something in their cc for defence.

Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 6 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 6 you can get Maximum of 20 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for the defense at Town Hall 6 :-

  1. 1 Witch + 2 Wizards (Recommended)
  2. 1 Baby Dragon + 2 Wizards + 2 Archers 
  3. 2 Valkyries + 1 Wizard 
  4. 1 Dragon


  1. Centered and well-protected Town hall
  2. Core placement maximizes wizard tower and air defense effectiveness.
  3. Mortars protect outer compartments from spam attacks in base design.
  4. Storages are well protected
  5. Nicely Placed Air Sweeper
  6. Perfect traps placement
  7. Beast Against Ground & Air Attacks 
  8. Alternate collector placement maximizes efficiency in outer buildings.
