BASE DESCRIPTION

Hey guys, I’m Dark Barbarian and welcome back to another post. Today we’re going to make a new Town Hall 7 Hybrid Base, which will help you save both your loot and your trophies. Along with that, we’ll do a complete breakdown of this base in the base analysis part of this post, so make sure you don’t forget to read that, it’ll help you understand why I’ve put certain buildings on certain spots.

Let’s do the Base Analysis!

As you can see, the town hall is well protected in the middle of the base, shielded by all of our defenses; this is a key feature of every town hall base I create since we don’t want opponents stealing our second star and the loot in it so easily.

Let us now consider the defenses.

Mortars are evenly placed in different compartments and their range pretty much covers the whole base, positioning them there also helps us in dealing with Spam attacks such as BARCH and Mass Goblins.

Archer towers are placed at each corner of the base to ensure that no side is weaker to air attacks.

The wizard towers are spread out so that they don’t get taken out altogether while providing a balance to the base and their range covers most of the defenses, hence, placing them in different compartments away from one another, would be the most appropriate choice, as you can see wizard towers’ range cover most of the defenses in their range which is exactly what we wanted, so next time when you are making a base yourself or you get it from somewhere else, make sure to check how many defenses are the wizard towers covering in their range, if its barely covering 2 or 3 defenses, then you may want to reconsider their placement.

Cannons are placed in each corner of the base to cover the whole base and help in defence against ground attack forces.

We keep our air defenses separated and placed in different areas, so they can cover most parts of our base. The air sweeper is also strategically placed to complement the air defense’s location. Some people might think that position of this air sweeper is wrong, because opponent can easily take out the sweeper along with air defense with the use of lightning spells, but this is exactly just as i planned, because doing so will limit the direction opponent can start their dragon attack from, since they have taken out the air defense on the right, they won’t be starting their dragon attack from this side, because it is a common knowledge in mass dragon strategy to deploy dragons in a straight in straight line where you are closest to the air defenses, so the only remaining direction opponent can deploy their dragons is this, and what opponent won’t realize is that we have played into out trap because we have placed some high hitpoint buildings on front of air defenses, such as storages, clan castle, etc along with our barbarian king, that will keep the dragons busy and distracted while our air defenses will be dealing high damage to the dragons, making most of them die before they can even reach our air defenses.

When it comes to storages, they are evenly placed in different compartments; most beginner base designers make that they place all the storages in the center and defenses in the outer compartments. As a result, once the attacker destroys the compartment of defenses, they have access to all of the loot.
This isn’t the case in this base since the storages are separated into compartments; the attacker must take out the entire base to get all of the loot.
Never put the same type of storage on the same side of the base; for example, if we put both gold storages on this side of the base, the attacker may get almost all of your gold just by taking out one of the gold storages. so in order to avoid this. We alternate their placement, just like this base.
Our Dark Elixir storage is securely protected near the core compartment of the base, which is tough to reach, therefore our dark elixir will be safe in this base.

In terms of trap placement, I’ve seen many attacks on this base and discovered certain areas where most opponents are likely to drop their troops, as well as pathing where troops are most likely to walk through, and I’ve placed these traps in those spots.
Spring traps and giant bombs are strategically placed according to the pathing of defense attacking troops such as hogs and giants, which helps in making this base stronger against ground attacks.
We’ve put those bombs there so that they can take out the wall breakers, which might potentially ruin the attackers’ funnel since the troops won’t be able to go inside the base and will end up going for the outer trash buildings, causing the attack to fail.

Now coming to the outer buildings you can customize where you want to put them according to your choice, if you are quite active and play regularly you can spread them out more to make the funnel trickier as you wouldn’t have to worry about people stealing your loot from outer collectors, as you’ll be collecting loot from them regularly, but if you are not that active you can do it the way I made it, as you won’t have to worry about stealing your loot as they’ll be in the range of defenses, it’s up to you, just make sure you don’t put the same type of collectors all together, otherwise, the opponent will take all your loot in the collectors very easily.

BEST DEFENSIVE CLAN CASTLE TROOPS COMBINATIONS

Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 7 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 7 you can get Maximum of 20 housing spaces in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for the defense at Town Hall 7.

1. 1 Baby Dragon + 2 Wizards + 2 Archers
2.  1 Witch + 2 Wizards (Recommended)
3. 2 Valkyries + 1 Wizard 
4. 1 Dragon

Since most people can’t get these troops from their clans, you can also use other troop combinations which are easily available like all wizards, all balloons or any other troop combination but i highly recommend you to have above mentioned troops for best defensive experience at Town Hall 7.
