Greetings everyone, this is Dark Barbarian. Today, we are showcasing a new Town Hall 10 hybrid base design. This base will assist us in safeguarding our loot while preserving our trophies. In the base analysis segment of the post, I’ll be delving into the details of this base to give you a comprehensive understanding of its features, so that you can make an informed decision on whether it’s worth making the switch.
Let’s do the Base Analysis!

As you can observe, the Town Hall, similar to my prior hybrid base designs, is strategically positioned in the center of the base. This is to ensure its safety and security, as it is worth one star and contains a substantial amount of loot.

One of the outstanding features of this base is the high number of compartments. The troops are effectively trapped by the walls while the defensive buildings deal huge damage to them, this base has a lot of compartments, which serves to slow down the opponent’s attack.

When it comes to defenses, they are strategically positioned to defend the entire base and reinforce its strength from every angle.

The Mortars are positioned on the outermost layer of defense and exterior region to guard against spam attacks, such as Mass Goblins, GiBARCH, and BARCH. However, their placement is not limited to just protecting the exterior buildings; they are strategically arranged to cover nearly the entire base.

The Air Defenses are dispersed from each other to avoid being simultaneously destroyed by Lightning Spells. They are placed in distinct compartments, with their coverage area encompassing nearly the entire base, excluding the exterior buildings which do not require coverage. Their placement is complementary to the Air Sweepers, contributing to enhanced defense against air attacks such as Lava Loons and Mass Dragons.

The wizard towers in the base are strategically placed for optimal coverage and protection. They are spread out to avoid being taken out at once, ensuring balance in the defense. These towers are positioned to defend both the central and outer defenses and their range covers a large portion of the base. It is important to take note of the coverage of the wizard towers when building or acquiring a base, as their placement can greatly impact the effectiveness of the defenses. If only 2 or 3 defenses are covered in their range, it may be worth reevaluating their placement.

Archer towers are placed in each outer compartment at proper distances apart in order to protect the entire base from air troops; making it more effective against all types of attacks, both air or ground.

Let’s talk about bomb towers. We have two of these at th10, and we have placed them in the core of the base. Its range includes defenses such as air defenses, x-bows, and air sweepers. Bomb towers have the special ability to work like giant bomb when they are destroyed and deal massive damage to the opponent’s troops.

Cannons are placed strategically to give a perfect balance to the base, so that defenses are evenly spread throughout the base.

Inferno towers are pretty much the most important defense we have at town hall 10, so keeping them safe while making full use of their potential to increase the effectiveness of the base is our main priority. They are also well-protected, and their range covers a lot of main defenses and important stuff like X-bows, town hall, wizard towers, dark elixir storage, and air defenses.

You can change the mode of the inferno tower depending on the armies attacking you; multiple mode is recommended for low hitpoint and high troop count armies like miners, bowlers, and witches, but single mode is recommended for stronger armies with high hitpoint and low troop count like golems, electro dragons, and pekkas.

Xbows are well protected in these three compartments, and they are set to both ground and air because, as I saw before, I was targeted by both ground and air armies, so putting it to ground just for the additional range isn’t really worth it.

Archer queen is placed strategically where she is paired with two air defenses to provide protection against a variety of air attacks like lava loon attacks; a queen paired with two air defenses can actually melt a lava hound in a few seconds.

Now coming to storages, they are evenly placed in different compartments; most beginner base builders make the mistake of placing all storages in the center and defenses in the outer compartments. so once the attacker breaks the compartment of defenses, they have access to all the loot.
which is not the case in this base because the storages are placed in different compartments; the attacker must take out the entire base to get all of the loot.
Never put the same type of storage on the same side of the base; for example, if we put both gold storages on this side of the base, the attacker can take almost all of your gold just by attacking this side of the base. so in order to avoid that. we place them alternatively, just like this base.

Our Dark Elixir storage is safely guarded in the core compartment of the base, which is fairly tough to gain access to, therefore our dark elixir will be safe in this base.

Now coming to the placement of the traps, after observation of so many attacks on this base, spring traps, and giant bombs are strategically placed in different compartments according to the pathing of defense attacking troops like hogs and giants, which helps in making this base stronger against ground attacks.
we have placed those bombs out there so that they can take out the wall breakers, which can potentially ruin the attacker’s funnel as the troops wouldn’t be able to go inside the base and they’ll end up going for the outer trash buildings which will end up ruining the attack.
These skeleton traps are put in the core compartment because we want them to activate in the middle of the battle, and we’ve set them to air mode so they can assist us with lavaloon attacks by targeting balloons and reducing the balloon count.
Air bombs and air mines are strategically placed throughout the base to help in the defense against air attacks.

coming to the outer buildings, I’ve placed them alternatively, like I’ve avoided placing the same kind of collectors close to one another, I see most people not putting enough thought while placing those outer buildings so they end up placing the same kind of collectors all together, these collectors become an easy target to attackers when placed together, hence it is important to spread them out to make it harder for opponents to take them out.

That’s it for the Base Analysis

I’ve left a copy link for this base below, or you can copy this base through any of those links, unless you want to copy it manually, that’s pretty much it for the base analysis, I’ll see you guys in the next one.

Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 10 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 10 you can get Maximum of 35 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for defense at Town Hall 10 :-

  1. 1 Electro Dragon + 1 Balloon (Recommended)
  2. 1 Baby Dragon + 2 Valkyrie + 2 Wizard
  3. 1 Golem + 1 Wizard + 1 Archer
  4. 1 Witch + 5 Wizards + 3 Archers
  5. 1 Lava Hound + 1 Balloon
  6. 1 Dragon + 3 Wizard + 1 Archer

Since most people can’t get these troops from their clans, you can also use other troop combinations which are easily available like all wizards, all balloons or any other troop combination but i highly recommend you to have above mentioned troops for best defensive experience at Town Hall 10.

  1. Centered and well-protected Town hall
  2. Number of compartments helps slowing down opponents’ troops.
  3. Air Defenses are well protected and nicely paired with Air Sweepers.
  4. Perfect traps placement
  5. Evenly Placed Defensive Buildings
  6. Wizard Towers in well-protected compartments
  7. Great Against Both Ground & Air Attacks
  8. Inferno towers well protected
  9. X-bows in well protected compartments
  10. Archer Towers in each corner of the base.
