Hey guys this is dark barbarian, and today we are making a new Town Hall 12 hybrid base, this base is a hybrid base which means it will help us in saving our loot while still maintaining our trophies, I’m gonna talk more about this base in-depth in the base analysis part of the post, which will help you in understanding ins and outs of the base, so that you can decide for yourself if this base is worth switching to.
Let’s do the Base Analysis!
The first thing you can notice is that the clan castle is placed in the center of the base and the range of clan castle lies within the wall as well as the first layer of our defense so that it is hard for opponents to lure our clan castle troops as they’re quite deep inside the base, this also means that our defending clan castle troops will come out when opponents troops are in the middle of the battle, so our cc troops will be distracting enemy troops while they are being attacked by our defenses from all the sides, so that definitely helps in making the defense stronger.
let’s move forward
the town hall is placed in the core of the base well protected by our defenses, so you won’t have to worry about opponent’s stealing that second star and the loot inside your town hall.
One of the best things about this base is the number of compartments it has, there are compartments literally everywhere, this helps us in slowing down opponents’ troops, which ultimately leads to time fail or opponent run out of troops. most of the time opponents troops like golems and ice golems are usually found stuck on walls.
now coming to the defenses, they are placed in such a way that they cover the whole base and the base remains strong from all the sides.
Mortars are evenly placed in different compartments and their range pretty much covers the whole base, placing them there also helps us in tackling Spam attacks like BARCH and Mass Goblins.
Archer towers are arranged in such a way that their range covers the whole base except the core of the base which is not required to be covered by them in this base as we setup some other measure in the core to keep it protected for example the tesla farm and inferno towers in the core, I’ll talk more about them later in the video, overall the base is well secured against air attacks from all the sides.
wizard towers are placed at a distance from one another in well-protected compartments towards the central part of the base, so that they can provide air splash damage coverage to pretty much most of the base covering a lot of defenses in their range.
Air defenses are placed away from one another in different compartments to protect them from being taken out by lightning spells in a group. they are placed in compartments near the core of the base, they have air sweepers well paired with them contributing to an increase in the protection against air attacks like lava loon, mass dragons and electro dragons
Cannons are placed right where they are needed providing to the overall balance of the base and making this base perform pretty well against ground attacks.
Inferno towers are placed right in the center of the base making the core of the base stronger, and covering our most important defenses like X-bows, Air Defense and eagle artillery.
Inferno towers are set on single-target since they are better off against electro dragons and other high hitpoint troops like golems and pekkas.
Xbows are well protected in these four well protected compartments and they are set to both ground and air because as per my observation, I was getting attacked by both ground and air armies, setting it on ground only just for the increased range isn’t really worth it.
Coming to the heroes, this is where some people end up making mistake, underestimating their effectiveness they place them in some random place but I’ve placed our heroes in these spots for some reason for example our grand warden behave like a defensive building while getting attacked so I’ve placed it in a well protected part of the base of the base, and the barbarian king is placed at this spot in order to prevent it from getting lured out of the base to be killed easily, since barbarian king is hard to lure and kill, he will later help us in defending against opponent’s troops by distracting and killing them while they’re in the middle of the attack and its pretty much same for the archer queen as its placed in this central compartment of the base and is combined with other defenses like air defense and x-bow for better effective defense against air attacks
Now, coming to the storages, they are placed in different compartments, unlike the bases you usually see where most of the storages are placed in a single compartment. each storage is placed in a different compartment that means the opponent has to take out the whole base in order to get all the loot.
never put the same type of storages on one side of the base, for example, if we put both the gold storages on this side of the base, the attacker can take almost all your gold just by taking out this portion of the base. so in order to avoid that. we place them alternatively, just like this base.
our Dark Elixir storage is well protected in the core compartment of the base, which is quite hard to get into, which means that our dark elixir is going to be safe in this base.
Now coming to the placement of the traps, after observation of so many attacks on this base, spring traps and giant bombs are strategically placed in different compartments according to the pathing of defense attacking troops like hogs and giants, which helps in making this base stronger against ground attacks.
All 5 teslas are placed in the core of the base, which really helps in making the core of this base stronger, as this tesla farm completely annihilates any enemy troops that comes nears the core of the base.
we have placed those bombs out there so that they can take out the wall breakers, which can potentially ruin attackers funnel as the troops wouldn’t be able to go inside the base and they’ll end up going for the outer trash buildings which will end up ruining the attack.
now coming to the outer buildings you can customize where you want to put them according to your choice. just make sure you don’t put the same type of collectors all together, otherwise, the opponent will take all your loot in the collectors very easily.
Even though the base itself is strong enough, having troops in your clan castle can help a lot, as clan castle troops will help you in wasting opponents troops and time, specially in this base because clan castle in the core is one of the main features of the base, if you don’t have defending clan castle troops, then placing the clan castle in the core is worthless, might as well put dark elixir storage there, but honestly I my recommendation would be to keep cc their with cc troops inside for best defensive experience that’s it for this post.
BEST DEFENSIVE CLAN CASTLE TROOPS COMBINATIONS
Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 12 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 12 you can get Maximum of 40 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for defense at Town Hall 12 :-
- 1 Baby Drag + 1 Ice Golem + 1 Witch + 3 Goblin (Recommended)
- 1 Lava Hound + 2 Balloon
- 2 Ice Golem + 1 Baby Dragon
- 3 Witch + 4 Archers
- 40 Archers
- 1 Witch + 4 Headhunters + 4 Goblins
Since most people can’t get these troops from their clans, you can also use other troop combinations which are easily available like all wizards, all balloons or any other troop combination but i highly recommend you to have above mentioned troops for best defensive experience at Town Hall 12.
