BASE DESCRIPTION

Hey guys I’m Dark BarBarian, welcome back to another video, today we are making a new Town Hall 5 Hybrid and Trophy Base, this base has a special feature which makes it incredibly good, I’ll be discussing that, along with that we are going to do a complete breakdown of this base in the base analysis part of the video, so make sure you don’t forget to watch that, it’ll help you in understanding why I’ve put certain buildings on certain spots, so now I’m gonna let the speed build play, see you in the base analysis.

let’s do the base analysis.

first of all, let’s talk about the main feature of the base, our most important defenses at town hall 5 are, mortar, wizard tower, and air defense, mortars help in defending against spam attacks like BARCH, mass goblins, etc, wizard tower helps in defending against all kinds of armies like giant wizards, mass balloons, and our air defense deals lethal damage against air attacking armies like mass balloons,

so it is important to keep all three of them at the spots where they’re well protected and fully effective by covering a lot of stuff in the range, hence placing them in the central compartment of the base makes the most sense,

as you can see, our mortar’s range covers pretty much the whole base, which means our base is safe against spam attacks from all sides,

air defense covers almost the base whole base in its range as it is kept right in the center of the base, most players tend to get attacked with mass loons at town hall 5, because attackers like to take out that one air defenses with giants and then raid the rest of the base with loons, so its important to keep our only air defense safe and well protected.

wizard tower is placed in the core, so it covers a lot of defenses in its range, so it’s placed in an optimal spot.

note:- make sure your base isn’t rushed because keeping all main stuff in the middle when they’re of low level will lead to opponent dropping lightning spells on them and taking all your main defenses out, hence these three defenses must be the first thing that you upgrade when you get to TH5 and use this base.

the other special feature of the base is, how those traps placements are done, spring trap and bombs placement are done according to pathing of the troops, we make opponent’s troops walk over them by purposefully creating those openings, troops will certainly walk over them no matter what, hence this also helps in increasing the effectiveness of the base.

now, let’s take a look at other stuff,

the archer towers are placed in these 3 corners of the base while the air defense is placed toward the remaining side, which means pretty much the whole base is covered for air attacks, which makes this base so good against air attacks.

Cannons are placed right where they are needed providing the overall balance to the base and making this base perform pretty well against ground attacks.

Now coming to storages, they are evenly placed in different compartments, this is the mistake that most beginner base designers make that they place all the storages in the center, and defenses in the outer compartments. so once the attacker break through the compartment of defenses they get access to all the loot.
which is not the case in this base because the storages are placed in different compartments, the attacker has to take out the whole base in order to get all the loot.

remember to not put the same type of storages on one side of the base, for example, if we put both the gold storages on this side of the base, the attacker can take almost all your gold just by taking out this portion of the base. so to avoid that. we place them alternatively, just like this base.

now coming to the outer buildings, you can place them according to your choice just don’t put the same type of collector all together otherwise opponents will steal loot from these easily,

One last important thing about this base or any town hall 5 bases in general, is that this base will easily counter almost all town hall 5 strategies if the attacker doesn’t use clan castle troops, but if the opponent has cc troops you must also have some defensive troops in your clan castle for a fair match, because no matter what we do opponents can take out any town hall 5 bases if they have high-level troops in their clan castle, so I recommend you to always have troops in your clan castle for defense, this will genuinely boost your win rate, recommended cc troops are All High-level balloons or High-level valkyrie, if you have these in your clan castle, they will last you a couple of matches easily as most opponents don’t know how to kill them, but if your clan can’t donate you those, just have anything, its better to have something than nothing, so that’s pretty much it for the base analysis.

BEST DEFENSIVE CLAN CASTLE TROOPS COMBINATIONS 

Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 5 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 5 you can get Maximum of 15 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for defense at Town Hall 5 :-

1. 1 Valkyrie + 1 Wizard + 3 Archers (Recommended)
2. 1 Baby Dragon + 1 Wizards + 1 Archers
3. 1 Witch + 3 Archers
4. 3 Balloons

Since most people can’t get these troops from their clans, you can also use other troop combinations which are easily available like all wizards, all balloons or any other troop combination but i highly recommend you to have above-mentioned troops for best defensive experience at Town Hall 5.
