Hey guys, dark barbarian here, today I have this epic builder hall 5 base for you guys, it won me so many trophies to the point where I stopped matching with builder hall 5s and I was usually matched with builder hall 6s and 7s, so the number of trophies you can reach with this base will also depend upon your troops level and your attacking skills, anyways, I’m going to do an in-depth breakdown of this base in the base analysis part of the post, so you can understand how this base actually works.
let’s do the base analysis
the first thing, that’ll notice is that the builder hall is kept in the center surrounded by all our defenses, it is placed that way to prevent opponents from getting 2 stars on our base.
now our two most important defenses, crusher, and multi mortar, which are a major threat to ground attacking armies, are placed at a distance from each other to prevent being taken out altogether when overpowered with troops, when they are placed at a distance, the opponents will have to choose whether they want to take out the crusher or multi mortar, so even if one gets taken out, the other one will survive to protect rest of the base.
now coming to the cannons placements, some of you might think that instead of placing those normals cannons in those compartments, we should have put the double cannons in there since that would increase their protection since they are placed in a separate compartment, but that’s only one way to look at it, we might be able to increase the protection of double cannons by placing them there but in reality, we’ve just made them less effective and useful, those outer buildings that were once in the coverage of cannons will be almost out of coverage when switched with double cannon, now opponent can use archers on them without having to worry about cannon taking them out since those archers will be out of range and not only that, the number of defenses covered by our double cannon has decreased when switched placed, and in my opinion defenses like double cannons should be placed where their range covers a lot of defenses, I hope you guys understood why I’ve placed those cannons in those outer compartments and double cannons in the internal compartment.
all the cannons combined cover pretty much the whole base, which means the base is well secured against ground attacking strategies from all sides.
both the firecrackers and air bombs are kept at a distance from each other, because those who use baby dragons like to take out both of them together, by placing them at a distance, we’re making it harder for opponents to use baby dragons on our base, as even if one gets taken out the other one is still there to protect our base, and they are placed in such a way that the whole base gets covered in their range and no side is left weaker to air attacks.
archer towers placed in two corners of the base covers a huge portion of the base in their range, which indeed is a good thing.
now coming to the traps placements,
spring traps are placed in spots where most people are highly likely to start their attack from, most people like taking out multi mortar and crusher, hence spring traps are placed there to take out giants in their path before they can reach our defenses, and we’ve placed mines all over the core, and as you can see push traps are placed outward, it is because this is closed compact base, without any openings, hence we don’t want to any troops inside, we use those push traps to lower the load on our defenses by throwing some of the troops outside of the base, which buys our defenses the time to take out the rest of the troops.
coming to the outer buildings, they are smartly placed at a distance from one another to ruin opponents funnel, and you can see how we’ve placed high hitpoint buildings like laboratory, clocktower, and storages in front of our main defenses, they have so many hitpoints that they end up wasting opponent’s a lot of time and troops, that by the time they reach our defenses their abilities are already over, then they become an easy target to our defenses.
