Hey guys, today we’re making a town hall 13 base, this is my first time doing a town hall 13 base on this channel, a lot of you have been requesting it for a long, hope you guys like it, this base is an adaptation of a TH9 base I’ve done in the past, most of you guys really liked that base so I thought why not use the same wall pattern for other town halls as well, so I came up with this design, not only is this base really good-looking, its quite effective as well, you’ll get to know more about this base in-depth in the base analysis part of the video after the speed build, where I’ll do a review of this base on why I’ve placed certain buildings on certain spots.

let’s do the base analysis,

let’s start off with the central compartment of the base,

the town hall is placed in the central compartment because it contains some loot and it is worth one star, and not only that, the Giga inferno weapon inside town hall helps in protection of our main defenses that are placed nearby the town hall, so it makes a lot of sense to place the town hall in the center.

moving forward, if you’re one of those people that like to use a base with hard to lure clan castle in the middle, you can put the cc in the center in this base as well by making slight changes to the base like I’ve shown in the picture.

our one of the most important defenses scatter shots are placed in the core of the base, from where, their range covers pretty much all the important stuff in the core, and some defenses of outer compartments, they help in making the core of the base stronger.

inferno towers are placed at three edges of the core compartment, they too help us in making the core of the base stronger, they provide protection to wizard towers, x-bows, and air defenses.

inferno towers are set on single-mode at default because of the high frequency of electro dragon attacks on higher town halls, but you can set the mode as per the armies you’re getting attacked with, multi-mode for high troop count, low hitpoint armies like miners, bowlers, witches and single-mode for low troop count, high hitpoint armies like electro dragons, Pekka, etc.

Archer queen is placed in the core, because of her high damage per second, she acts like a solid defense, and she prevents opponents’ troops from getting inside the core by taking them out at soon as possible.

eagle artillery is placed in a well-protected spot and covers the whole base in its range.

air defenses are placed away from one another in different compartments to protect them from being taken out of lightning spells altogether, they have well-paired air sweepers with them, which helps in increasing the defensive effectiveness against air attacks, another feature of the air defenses placement is how they help in countering queen walks, during a queen walk, the queen can’t take out the air defenses from outside so it goes towards the side buildings while healers fly inside the range of air defense, and get destroyed.

The wizard towers are spread out, so that they don’t get taken out altogether while providing a balance to the base. they are placed in such a way they provide splash damage protection to both main defenses in the core and the defenses towards the outer side of the base.

x-bows are set on both ground and air mode and are placed in those 4 spots from where their range covers pretty much the whole base, ultimately increasing the defensive effectiveness of the base.

Mortars are placed towards the outer compartments of the base because we want them to protect us against spam attacks like BARCH and mass goblins, but they not only protect the outer buildings of the base they are placed in such a way that they pretty much cover the whole base except the core which is not really required to be covered by the mortar as most low hitpoint spam troops won’t be able to reach there.

Archer towers are arranged in such a way that their range covers the whole base, which means the base is well secured against air attacks from all sides.

Cannons are placed right where they are needed providing the overall balance to the base and making this base perform pretty well against ground attacks.

 Now, coming to the storages, they are placed in different compartments at a distance from one another because you already know placing all of them in the core in place of our main defenses, is clearly not a very smart decision, and you already know why I’ve placed them alternatively rather than placing all gold storages on one side and all elixir storages on the other, because the opponent can easily steal all your gold or elixir just by taking out this portion of the base, and it’s better to lose your loot in a balanced way rather than losing all the loot of one kind of resource, these are all basic stuff that I usually discuss on lower town halls but I still went over them.

the dark elixir storage is placed in the core compartment of the base, so it’s quite well protected, you don’t have to worry about that.

Now coming to the placement of the traps, I’ve observed so many attacks on this base, and found some spots where most opponents are likely to drop their troops on, and the pathings where troops are most likely to walk through, and according to that I’ve placed these traps on those spots.

those giants bombs are placed outside the boundary of the base, because troops like witches, bowlers, and wizards, like to go along the boundary of walls in swarms while taking out outer buildings, this is where we can take advantage of this opportunity and take all of them out using a giant bomb, this trick worked for me quite often in the previous builds so I added it in this build too.

Now coming to the outer buildings you can customize where you want to put them according to your choice, if you are quite active and play regularly you can spread them out more to make the funnel trickier as you wouldn’t have to worry about people stealing your loot from outer collectors, as you’ll be collecting loot from them regularly, but if you are not that active you can do it the way I made it, as you won’t have to worry about stealing your loot as they’ll be in the range of defenses, it’s up to you, just make sure you don’t put the same type of collectors all together, otherwise, the opponent will take all your loot in the collectors very easily

and that’s pretty much it for the base analysis,

Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 13 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 13 you can get Maximum of 45 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for defense at Town Hall 13 :-

  1. 1 Lava Hound + 1 Head Hunter + 9 Archers (Recommended)
  2. 1 Lava Hound + 2 Head Hunter + 3 Goblins
  3. 2 Super Minnion + 2 Head Hunter + 3 Archers
  4. 1 Inferno Dragon + 2 Head Hunter + 7 Archers
  5. 1 Lava Hound + 1 Ice Golem

Since most people can’t get these troops from their clans, you can also use other troop combinations which are easily available like all wizards, all balloons or any other troop combination but i highly recommend you to have above mentioned troops for best defensive experience at Town Hall 13.


  1. Centralised unlurable Clan castle option available. 
  2. Air Defenses placed in well protected compartments
  3. Alot of compartments helps in slowing down troops.
  4. Eagle Artillery well protected in core compartment
  5. Wizard Towers in different compartments away from one another.
  6. Scattershots well protected in core
  7. Inferno towers placed in the core of the base
  8. X-bows covers the whole base
  9. Archer Towers in each corner of the base.
