Hey guys, Dark BarBarian here, today we’re making a new Town Hall 4 hybrid base and I’m sure you are going to love it, This base is so good because of so many reasons about which I’ll tell you more later in the video. I’ll also explain why I’ve placed those elixir storages outside, so don’t forget to watch the base analysis where I’ll do a breakdown of the base so that you can understand why I’m putting certain buildings in certain places. The first thing you can notice is that the townhall is well protected in the center because it has some loot in it and it is worth one star, so it is one of the basic rules to keep in mind while making a hybrid base.
let’s discuss why those elixir storages are kept outside, well, its simply because there are not enough walls at town hall 4 to put all the storages and defenses inside, so clearly have to make a choice whether we want to place our defenses outside or our storages outside, if we put the storages inside and the defenses that are outside gets taken out there will be nothing to protect those storages as they can’t defend themselves, so it makes more sense to place defenses inside and use our storages as a tank for those defenses since those storages have high hitpoints they can be used as a guard for our defenses, in this case, defenses are protecting storages by killing the troops that attack the storages while storages are protecting the defenses by providing them time.
you can switch between the storages depending upon the type of resource you require, for example, if you’re collecting elixir for a huge upgrade but don’t really need gold for now, then you switch those storages without any problem, I’ve kept gold storages inside at default because it’ll be required to get those walls done.
but it’s not like we’re giving away our elixir just to protect our defenses, we have set up some measures to keep the storages protected as well, like we have placed these trash buildings in close to the storages, what this does is keep the attacker troops engaged in useless buildings while our defenses will be targeting opponent’s troops, and we’ve done this on the other side as well, so opponents will have to takeout those 3 trash buildings before reaching our elixir storages.
I hope this made sense to you, that placing those storages outside doesn’t make this base a bad base.
Now let’s take a look at other stuff,
Mortar is placed in a well-protected compartment of the base and it covers pretty much all the defenses and a large portion of this outer region to protect our storages, so that’s a good thing.
Archer towers are placed in such a way that their range covers the whole base, which means the base is well secured against air attacks from all sides.
The air defense is placed in a well-protected compartment at the spot from where it’s range covers a large portion of the base or you could say pretty much the whole base.
Cannons fill the rest of the spaces in the base and provide a great balance to the base which helps us in defending against ground attack armies.
the clan castle, we’ve placed it outside, since we can’t do the unlurable clan castle stuff here, as the base is too small, and the cc doesn’t hold a lot of loot, so I don’t think it’s necessary to put it inside, especially at a lower town hall like 4
let’s take a look at the traps placement,
I’ve been observing so many attacks on this base for the last 7 days, and after that, I’ve placed those spring traps at the spots which perfectly align with opponents troops pathing, so if the opponent uses giants, it is highly likely that they are gonna step on both of these traps.
those two small bombs are those for protection against spam attacks like BARCH and mass goblin.
that’s pretty much it for the base analysis
I’m gonna be straight up honest with you guys, this base will be more than enough on its own only if the attackers are attacking you without clan castle troops but if they have something their clan castle you’ll be getting Rekt every time unless you have something in your clan castle of defense as well. that’s why I always recommend lower town halls to have something in their cc for defense as its an integral part of the defense especially at lower town hall levels. if no one in your clan donates try to join some request and leave clans, they were the ones that helped me grow when I was a Townhall 4 on my main and I couldn’t find a good donating clan, my cc recommendations would be valks or baby dragon with a balloon, but if you can’t get them, just have anything, something is better than nothing, that’s pretty much it for this video, I hope you guys learned something useful, just before you go to the base copy link that I’ve provided in the description and the first pinned comment, I’d really appreciate it if you could hit that subscribe button, so that I can help you with your town hall 5 base as well, that’s all I wanted to say, see you guys in the next one.
BEST DEFENSIVE CLAN CASTLE TROOPS COMBINATIONS
Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 4 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 4 you can get Maximum of 15 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for defense at Town Hall 4 :-
- 1 Valkyrie + 1 Wizard + 3 Archers (Recommended)
- 1 Baby Dragon + 1 Wizards + 1 Archers
- 1 Witch + 3 Archers
Since most people can’t get these troops from their clans, you can also use other troop combinations which are easily available like all wizards, all balloons or any other troop combination but i highly recommend you to have above-mentioned troops for best defensive experience at Town Hall 4.
