BASE DESCRIPTION

Hey guys what’s up, I’m dark, and today I’ve got a new Town Hall 12 Hybrid Trophy Base for you, and this is my first time making a Townhall 12 base as you guys wanted me to cover some higher town halls as well, this base is gonna help you protect your loot and maintain your trophies as you’ll most likely be getting 1 starred or less, we’ll be doing an in-depth breakdown of the base in the base analysis part of the video which will help you in understanding how this base actually work

Let’s do the base analysis

first of all the obvious stuff, the town hall is well protected in the central compartment of the base as we want to save that one star and the loot in it.

along with the town hall, Eagle Artillery is also placed right in the core of the base, because most people are afraid of the Eagle Artillery including me haha, and when its placed right in the centermost compartment of the base it can be a pain in the neck to take it out, that’s why most people will end up skipping your base.

and we’ve also placed two inferno towers in core and the last one in the outer compartment,

and not only that we have a tesla farm right in the core, to protect our town hall, eagle artillery and inferno towers.

so you can clearly see the core of the base is jam-packed with powerful defenses, and we have also created an empty compartment outside the core compartment where we have placed a lot of traps and an inferno tower, the reason for doing so, is that we don’t want troops to go towards the town hall, so we have made the base in such a way, that troops will circle around the base instead of going for the core compartment because troops go for the easiest building they can reach, so adding this empty compartment means, enemy troops will ignore the core compartment since they will have to break through two walls to get through, so they will automatically go for the closest building making them circle around the base.

while enemy troops will be circling around the base, our defenses in the core will be doing lethal damage to those troops, thus making this base an absolute beast

now let’s take a look at the placement of other defenses

Mortars are evenly placed in different compartments and their range pretty much covers the whole base, placing them there also helps us in tackling Spam attacks like BARCH and Mass Goblins.

Archer towers are arranged in such a way that their range covers the whole base, which means the base is well secured against air attacks from all the sides

Although wizard towers are placed in a single compartment, I made sure to spread them out and placed them at a distance from one another, so that they don’t get taken out altogether and provide air splash damage coverage to pretty much most of the base covering a lot of defenses in their range.

Just like wizard towers, air defenses are placed in a single compartment but away from one another to protect them from being taken out by lightning spells in a group. They have air sweepers well paired with them contributing to an increase in the protection against air attacks like lava loon, mass dragons, and mass electro dragons.

The Xbows are spread out in a way they provide cover to pretty much the whole base, they are set on both ground and air as I don’t see the point of setting them on ground only mode when you get attacked by both air and ground armies.

Cannons are placed evenly to provide a good balance to the base, so overall you can say the defenses are evenly distributed.

Now coming to the storages, I’m not gonna go into details here like I do in my lower town hall builds since you guys must already know the basics of storage placement, like we instead of placing storages in one compartment, we should try to spread them out as much as we can so opponents can’t take them out, all at once and other basic stuff like that.

Now coming to the outer buildings, I’ve tried placing them with 2 tiles gap so they can avoid electro dragons chain damage and give our defenses more time to take them out.

BEST DEFENSIVE CLAN CASTLE TROOPS COMBINATIONS

Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 10 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 10 you can get Maximum of 35 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for defense at Town Hall 10 :-

  1. 1 Electro Dragon + 1 Balloon (Recommended)
  2. 1 Baby Dragon + 2 Valkyrie + 2 Wizard
  3. 1 Golem + 1 Wizard + 1 Archer
  4. 1 Witch + 5 Wizards + 3 Archers
  5. 1 Lava Hound + 1 Balloon
  6. 1 Dragon + 3 Wizard + 1 Archer

Since most people can’t get these troops from their clans, you can also use other troop combinations which are easily available like all wizards, all balloons or any other troop combination but i highly recommend you to have above mentioned troops for best defensive experience at Town Hall 10.

  1. This ring, or should I say “moat around the castle”, design has been the best base you designed. I expanded upon it for TH13 and am adjusting it again after upgrading to TH14. You should rework it for TH13 and TH14.
