Hey whats up guys, dark barbarian here, today we are making a new town hall 11 hybrid base because you guys wanted some higher town hall builds, this base is quite good for farming loot because of some of its features, I will discuss them one by one in the base analysis part of the video and also clear your doubts regarding this base, so, I will see you guys after the speed build.

let’s do the base analysis

first of all, let’s talk about this empty space, I’m sure most you know why we’ve left this empty space here but for who don’t, we’ve left this space to manipulate the pathing of enemy troops, let me explain with an example, if opponent’s troops enter our base through this compartment they won’t be going to the central compartment and troops like wizard, witches and bowlers will not be able to attack those defenses in the central compartment because of this space we’ve left here because troops pathing is done in such way they like to go to buildings or defenses that are closest and easiest to get to,

so having this empty space and two sets wall will make troops refrain from going to the central compartment its hard to get there, so they will resort to going to either of the other two sides, this will continue in other compartments as well, making enemy troops circle around the base while other main defenses like Eagle Artillery and Inferno Towers will be doing lethal damage to those enemy troops, so that’s basically how this base works.

let’s take a look at the other things,

Townhall is well protected in the central part of the base just like my other hybrid base designs because it is important to keep it safe and secure as it is worth one star and has a decent amount of loot in it.

Mortars are placed towards the outer compartments of the base because we want them to protect us against spam attacks like BARCH and mass goblins, but they not only protect the outer buildings of the base they are placed in such a way that they pretty much cover the whole base except the core which is not really required to be covered by the mortar as most low hitpoint spam troops won’t be able to reach there.

Archer towers are arranged in such a way that their range covers the whole base, which means the base is well secured against air attacks from all sides.

wizard towers are placed at a distance from one another in well-protected compartments towards the central part of the base, so that they can provide air splash damage coverage to pretty much most of the base covering a lot of defenses in their range.

Air defenses are placed away from one another in different compartments to protect them from being taken out by lightning spells in a group. they’re providing coverage to pretty much the whole base.

Cannons are placed right where they are needed providing to the overall balance of the base and making this base perform pretty well against ground attacks.

Inferno towers are placed in the core to keep the well-protected, you can switch the modes of inferno tower according to the armies you’re getting attacked by, if you’re getting attacked by armies like Valk, bowlers, witches, giants you can set your inferno on multi-target but if you’re getting attacked by Pekka, electro dragons and other strong troops you may switch it single-mode as it is better against to those stronger troops.

The Xbows are spread out in a way they provide cover to pretty much the whole base, we’ve set them on both ground and air as we want protection against both air and ground attacks.

Barbarian King and archer queen are placed in the core of the base to prevent them from getting easily lured out and killed, when we place them in a well-protected spot, they can act like strong defenses to increase the effectiveness of the base, they also keep enemy troops away from the core by taking them out as soon as possible.

Now, coming to the storages, they are placed in different compartments, unlike the bases you usually see where most of the storages are placed in a single compartment. each storage is placed in a different compartment that means the opponent has to take out the whole base in order to get all the loot.

The Dark elixir storage is well protected in a compartment of its own in the core of the base, so it’s quite well protected, we have also kept our dark elixir drills inside as carelessly throwing them anywhere outside of the base can definitely hurt your dark elixir farming process as opponents would be able to steal it easily.

Now coming to the placement of the traps, after observation of so many attacks on this base, spring traps, and giant bombs are strategically placed in different compartments according to the pathing of defense attacking troops like hogs and giants, which helps in making this base stronger against ground attacks.

Now coming to the outer buildings you can customize where you want to put them according to your choice, if you are quite active and play regularly you can spread them out more to make the funnel trickier as you wouldn’t have to worry about people stealing your loot from outer collectors, as you’ll be collecting loot from them regularly, but if you are not that active you can do it the way I made it, as you won’t have to worry about stealing your loot as they’ll be in the range of defenses, it’s up to you, just make sure you don’t put the same type of collectors all together, otherwise, the opponent will take all your loot in the collectors very easily.


Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 10 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 10 you can get Maximum of 35 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for defense at Town Hall 10 :-

  1. 1 Electro Dragon + 1 Balloon (Recommended)
  2. 1 Baby Dragon + 2 Valkyrie + 2 Wizard
  3. 1 Golem + 1 Wizard + 1 Archer
  4. 1 Witch + 5 Wizards + 3 Archers
  5. 1 Lava Hound + 1 Balloon
  6. 1 Dragon + 3 Wizard + 1 Archer

Since most people can’t get these troops from their clans, you can also use other troop combinations which are easily available like all wizards, all balloons or any other troop combination but i highly recommend you to have above mentioned troops for best defensive experience at Town Hall 10.

  6. Great Against Both Ground & Air Attacks

  9. Archer Towers in each corner of the base.

  1. Do you have anything for TH11 that’s spread out and very good defense wise? Your bases look cool but I’ve used a few and my defenses always lose.
