BASE DESCRIPTION

The Defensive buildings on this base are evenly distributed which makes the base strong from all sides of the base. In most of the bases that players at TH5 make, all the Gold and Elixir storages are placed in one single compartment in the center to protect the resources, but this strategy is completely wrong because if somehow the opponent’s troops gets to that one compartment he/she will get all your resources. So, it is better to place your Gold and Elixir storages in different compartments away from one another like in our base, so that even if the opponent takes out one side of the base, you won’t lose all your resources. Hence, storages are evenly placed in different compartments.

The base has a lot of compartments which slows down opponents Giants and other troops as once they broke through a wall there’s another wall right after that, this makes it hard for opponents to get through walls. By the time opponent’s troops like giants breakthrough walls, their health will be less than half because of the high damage dealing splash buildings placed in the center like wizard tower and mortar. Even if the opponents Giants gets to the core of the base, those two deadly spring traps that are placed in the perfect position will destroy those giants. This base is made in such way that Giants and other troops AI pathing have to go through those traps every time which will take out pretty much half of the opponent’s giants. Trash Buildings like spell factory and barracks are placed outside in such way in which they will distract opponent’s clean up troops like wizards and archers.

This base is Anti Giant Wizard, Anti BARCH, Anti Giant Barb. Since the Air Defense in the base is placed in the center of the base, it is well protected to protect against air attacks like Balloon Parade and other air attacks. The traps are placed in the right spots as well which counters attacks like BARCH, Goblins and Giant wizard attacks. It can also defend against some newly upgraded Town hall 6 attackers with ease. So, overall in this base layout all the defensive buildings are well placed, hence, this base can easily defend against any Air attacking and Ground Attacking strategy at Town Hall 5.

BEST DEFENSIVE CLAN CASTLE TROOPS COMBINATIONS

Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 5 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 5 you can get Maximum of 15 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for defense at Town Hall 5 :-

1 Valkyrie + 1 Wizard + 3 Archers (Recommended)
1 Baby Dragon + 1 Wizards + 1 Archers
1 Witch + 3 Archers

Since most people can’t get these troops from their clans, you can also use other troop combinations which are easily available like all wizards, all balloons or any other troop combination but i highly recommend you to have above-mentioned troops for best defensive experience at Town Hall 5.
